Useful app but glitches very often that dont let me come in

I had a problem with making calls; Andrea at Tandem got it sorted quickly -- even though it was a Saturday! Tandem is brilliant! That said, call quality is less than desirable-- I often end up using Skype.

I have only had like 2 conversations but its already a good resource for languages!

This app is wonderful. Ive really enjoyed using it! Ive not only managed to find an amazing way to improve my Spanish (& any other languages I practice later on) but also a way to create connections across the world. Love it. *I would really like (& hope) to see a desktop application for Tandem in the near future. That would make it easier to hold messaging conversations, as well as use video/audio vs my iPhone.

That is so helpful to learn languages.

I love this app, its a great idea, and its helping me learn Russian. Two things that they need to fix: 1. You need to be able to show your hometown on your profile. People have no way of knowing if you are a native speaker or not from your profile, which is the while point. For example, im from USA but I live in Kiev. I need to be able to show my hometown is in America, so people in Russia and Ukraine know im a native speaker of English 2. They need a filter for online now. So that way for example i can search for people who are near me and who are online now Okay, so fix those two things, developers. And thanks for the awesome app!

I LOVE this app! Ive been struggling with my Japanese for a while until I met some really nice people on Tandem. They helped me practice and correct my grammar, and now Im ready to go to Japan this spring! :) Thanks Tandem!

Couldnt recommend enough for language learning.

This is a great app for practicing a language. There is a large international community of friendly people wanting to practice diverse languages, and there are great paid tutors for those wanting teaching expertise. The app has great scheduling features and a new text correction feature that makes learning easy.

Perfect to learn a foreign language with other people and professional teachers.

The idea is great, but unfortunately people are using the app for dating.

Tandem is an awesome app for both language exchange with peers and language learning through lessons. Its easy to use and will definitely be the push you need to finally practice your target language!
