Tandem: Language exchange App Reviews

I used this app earlier. Now app wants that I update it, but new update for iOS 8, and Ive got 7. Now I cant use app because it said that I need to update to last version. I cant do it.

This app is great!! It really focuses on the soul purpose of language exchange! It is great for meeting people from all over the world and learn/practice a new language at the same time!

I had a small little problem where my messages erased but I knew they all were still there and I emailed them at like 5am and they had it fixed by 7. Really fast and friendly. Ive never had any other problems. Would totally recommend this app.

Great app! Slick interface. I do have one suggestion. I also have HelloTalk, and on there you are able to indicate language level. If I were to talk to someone, Id like to know how well they speak English and where would be a great area to start. And vice versa.

Ive used this app (among other apps) on/off for over a year. This is by far the best language learning app/method Ive come across. Ive been studying Spanish and have been able to connect with speakers from across the world . I am now conversational in Spanish thanks to this app.

Extremely great app, Ive never seen one like it before. Its better than you can possibly imagine !

I have reported about a bug in chat conversation week ago and there is no single response till now,it shows you how the chaos that this app about from the inside,buildingor designing an app and getting a respected amount of money or popularity in return doesnt mean that you neglect the "bug fix" concept or not even giving it a priority,this issue happened thrice for me till now and there is no a single solution for it.

Ive had Tandem for a while now but only recently have I started to use it (for fear that I would sound stupid talking to native speakers of my target language). Ive had a few conversations so far and its great! Im studying Italian in college and Im about to enter my fourth semester, having already completed the Italian free on DuoLingo. While Im not very confident in my ability to speak Italian, I dont have to worry because the users are friendly and theres even an option for them to kindly correct your messages if they find them (riddled) with mistakes. I hope I make many friends on Tandem and simultaneously build up my strength and confidence to speak Italian fluently!

Since I install it last two weeks and still my account under review.

I send an email for tandem support and I told them the program is not working ! Finally after 3 days they replied and said its not a dating program although I didnt even mention the word dating in my email that I send .

What a wonderful app and overall experience. Speaking with others that other all eager to learn is invaluable! I wish there was a landscape version of the app so I could use the keyboard on my iPad Pro but other than that, everything is perfect!

This app is an incredible idea. I wish I knew about it before! I just recently downloaded two weeks ago. Ive already made some great relationships with native speakers. They are very eager to help you learn their language and culture. Dont be shy! Call others and learn to listen the language. Thats how you learn! I am learning so much from these speakers, their language and culture. I only hope they keep improving the app! Dont stop now! Italians are the best! - American
